My Bio
I hesitate to click the "I am an Artist" field, b/c I don't even know that it's fair to call myself that. I love art, specifically comic book art, childrens book art, design art such as that used for use in theme park attractions and whatnot - more pop culture type art than anything else. I draw, but rarely finish anything I start. I collect art in the theme of having something to do with cereal. Usually it's someone eating cereal, but it varies somewhat. I work full time pushing paper and raising two kids. That's about it, thanks for reading.

I really dig Chris Sanders, Shag, Marie Severin, Amanda Conner, Adam Hughes, Dave Johnson, John K, Tex Avery, Ub Iwerks, Walt Disney, Walt's nine old men, Pretty much every Looney Toons artist ever, David O'Keefe, Al Hirshfield, way too many others
Favourite Movies
reasonably decent zombie movies (Evil Dead trilogy and Zombieland rank high), all Marx Brothers movies, the entire Matrix saga, The Last Starfighter, Shawshank Redeption and The Green Mile

Dexter, Carnivale, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Myth Busters, The Amazing World of Gumball is great

currently I'm reading Charlane Harris more than anything else, I guess. It's sad, but I don't read books often. I read more or less nameless stuff online much more frequently.
Favourite Games
I really enjoyed Epic Mickey. Plants vs. Zombies. All the Paper Mario games and most Mario games in general. Most anything first party Nintendo. I DEARLY love board games.
Favourite Gaming Platform
Of the latest generation of systems, I only have a Wii. On occasion I venture into PC gaming.
Tools of the Trade
I'm guessing this refers to art. I'm a hack and use just about anything that will make marks on paper. I mostly use mechanical pencils, extremely fine tipped pens, copic markers, watercolor pencils, sable brushes for inking and inkwashing
Other Interests
Eh? I really like theme park rides and like to watch ride throughs videos on youtube. I study the design art of a lot of the rides such as the Haunted Mansion.
Dr. Sketchy's Anti Art School

...was awesome. I had read about Dr. Sketchy events before, but had never had one close enough to travel to. Lucky for me, some great folks decided that my hometown needed a chapter of it's own. The opening session's theme was school related, so we had a head mistress, a sweatshirt clad college student, and a cheerleader. There was burlesque dancing, belly dancing, and of course, modeling and drawing challenges. Our first challenge was to draw our teacher and a pet for her of our choosing (I was crass and drew a pink beaver). Hi, I'm Dan, but you probably already see that in the top left corner of the screen. Either way, I'm going to type something here and pretend someone is going to read it. I've drawn more or less all my life, but almost never finish anything I draw. I've started working on a couple of entries for the monthly sketchbook over at comicartfans, but never finished, or was never happy with anything by the end of the month.
